Notes from the
show:
"Sonic Rush is no stranger to
Badger Bowl, but this was our first gig here together as a
unit. The Easter Bunny did his best to remind everyone
to stay home the night before Easter. Thankfully, we
were again surprised by the number of people that continue
to make long drives to see us. In fact, I think we had
more people turn out from the Spring Green/Reedsburg and
Milwaukee areas than we did actual Madisonians.
It was great to see my Dad, Kathy, and
Laura make it out. My sister Heather promised me that
she would show up and she did with many of her friends!
Thanks to all of you for being so supportive.
We debuted "Crazy Bitch" and that
seemed to go over pretty well. We have 4 additional
tunes that we'll eventually be working into the mix as well.
Anytime we play in Madison, I think there's a tendency for
everyone to get geeked up about putting on a good show and
ultimately that can lead to each of us doing some unexpected
things. While it wasn't one of our best performances,
it still was a lot of fun playing for such enthusiastic
people. And it sure beat the hell out of laying
around the house with the in-laws. ;-)
