Notes from the show:

"It was one seriously warm day to be outdoors for this event.  The weather was better than we could've hoped for and the turnout was well above expectations.  We were able to arrive just before the food tent had run out of potato salad and pork.  I would've loved to have sat and enjoyed some alcoholic refreshments a bit longer, but not in that heat.  The 50-foot stage gave us plenty of room to move around.  The event leaders had hired a sound company sporting a sound system that we do not normally use and there were some issues in the band getting started on time.  We apologize to all those that we kept waiting for an extra 30 minutes, but there wouldn't have been much of a show without hot microphones.  Once we (finally) did get things rolling, the crowd seemed pretty enthusiastic about the show.  While the sound system had its low points, the light show delivered some pretty cool effects at times.  The second set featured a few females coming up on stage to dance to Girls, Girls, Girls.  Shortly after, the event planners asked us to play some music during a contest which was supposed to be a wet T-shirt contest with the top prize featuring $200 in cash.  However, it seems that some of the females felt like shedding all of their clothes!  The contest went on a little bit longer than we expected.  I guess that's what you get when you mix rock 'n roll with girls and a field of Harley lovers.  The show had a few new surprises along the way...Chris's coffin...flame pots...and confetti blasters.  Chris smashed some sort of Kmart brand guitar to the delight of the crowd attending our third set.  The one thing we didn't expect was getting attacked by swarms of giant June bugs!  I lost count on how many times they would land on my back, neck, chest...uh, you name it.  Once this bugs would land on us, they would bite and that was very distracting.  At the end of the night, the stage was littered with squashed June bugs!

We're looking forward to debuting the new light show next weekend in Dayton Hills...as well as returning to the proven security of our own sound system.  Hope to see you there!"
