Notes from the show:

"Thanks to all the Sonic Rush fans for coming out!!!! The word is we have some new fans. We appreciate everyones support. It's nice to see people enjoy the 80's arena rock music as much as we do. I enjoyed playing Madison again. It's been a few years since I've played here. The Dry Bean crew is a great bunch of people to work for, even at 3:45a.m.  Thanks again!!  WE'LL BE BACK!!"

"I would like to thank The Dry Bean for having us out.  Caroline, the bar staff, and the bouncers were the absolute best to work with.  A very special thanks to the family, friends, and all the SONIC RUSH FANS that came out to support us!  Some of you really put on the miles for this show and that is truly awesome."

"One word to summarize our debut appearance in Madison...AMAZING!  According to sources close to the Dry Bean, they've been really going through a dry spell lately with nightly turnouts.  For a first-time Madison performance, expectations for a large turnout were low.

Amazingly, turnout was one of the best the Dry Bean has seen in quite awhile.  Finding a parking spot near the club proved to be a challenge as cars were lined up down the nearby streets.  With virtually only word-of-mouth promotion, it was a really special night for everyone.  I was truly taken aback by how many people came out to support us!  Frequent Sonic Rush supporter, Justin, brought with him a group of friends ready to rock the night out with us.  My sister, Heather, arrived with 10-15 friends all the way from Milwaukee.  Although it might have been a tad loud for my Dad, Cindy, Roger, Sharon, and uncle Jim...they still had a great time watching us get our groove on.  American Eagle Ops agents, Wes (and his wife), Dolly, Lucy, Amy, and Dawn arrived and rocked our world.  Wes even joined us on stage assisting in some awesome backup vocals for, "Unchained".  My longtime friend, Brian from the band, Whiplash, also joined us on stage playing bass guitar during "Crazy Train".  It was a pleasure to see that Tracy, Ben, and Casey from Wisconsin Aviation made the trip to see us.  Last, but not least...Shelli's brother John was able to join us for a much needed night out away from home.

The Dry Bean staff was very cooperative in making sure we were comfortable.  The Dry Bean staff has already asked us to return before the end of the year.  If we can work some details out over when and how much...you can bet that we'll be back.  Based on how much fun we had at the Dry Bean, returning to Madison cannot happen soon enough!  Thanks for an awesome night of rock 'n roll!  We'll see you again soon!

Fan Reviews:

"Had a great time at the show. Sorry we had to take off before you were finished. You guys sure know how to put on a performance. It was awesome to finally jam again. Chris's vocals were very strong at this show...AND, I forgot to mention - your solo was very cool and as always you rocked.  Rock on!"  -B

"My son's girlfriend and I were putting up posters on Sat afternoon in Avoca and Lone rock. Thought you might want to know that as we put up one at a bar in Avoca about 4 guys looked to see who the poster was of. Crystal said that one guy immediately commented " that band is awesome!!!!!" I hope that helps to bring more to Fubars. And I know it will make you all happy!!!!!!! Glad to hear that kind of comment. Just wanted you to know what kind of talk was around. Take care and if not before I will definitely see you at Fubars." -Kathy

"Just a quick note here to let you know we all enjoyed the show Friday night. There were about 7-8 tunes that I recognized enough to tell that your band is pretty darn good (and plenty loud). You sure can play that guitar. The laser part was the best. I don't think the kilt does much for it though. Your sister Heather came up to me and introduced herself around 11:00. We couldn't have much of a conversation because you guys were playing (and plenty loud, oh did I say that already) but she seemed very nice. Anyway, we had a good time and you're good." -Dad

"Just thought I'd let you know that I enjoyed your show!  I can see that you put lots of work into it.  Great job on the guitar!  I hope to attend another." -Cindy

"Roger and I had a super time.  Never knew you were hiding all of that talent.  Your guitar solo was awesome.  I am so glad we came to Madison...this was great!" -Sharon

"WOW! What a great performance.  The energy of Sonic Rush was infectious.  The crowd was awesome and the atmosphere at the bean electric.  We had an extremely enjoyable evening.  Loved Greg’s guitar, the group seems very tight.  Keep on rockin’ - Jim
