"Wow! I
can't believe it's been one year all ready since we've been
together. Where does the time go? Twelve months
of playing together has surely been a fun ride. It's
kind of cool to compare our transformation from the way we
used to be just one year ago.
For one thing, I think
we're playing/performing much better than we ever have.
Fans will be pleased to know that we've added five new tunes
to the regular rotation. I think most people
appreciate the fact that (once in awhile) we stray away from
the mainstream songs and play some B-side material...such
as, "It's So Easy" by GNR. You should have seen the
people go nuts when we broke into that one!
On the way to the gig,
I started coming down with something. I knew something
was wrong when I
couldn't stop coughing. About halfway through the
first set, it was obvious to everyone in the building that
my voice was trashed. Thankfully, I'm not the
singer...yet it was unusual for me to go through something
like that since I usually don't sing/talk much at the shows.
Anyways, the other guys did a great job singing while I did
my best "Ashley Simpson" impression for the rest of the
night. I spent New Years day under a blanket in a
Nyquil-induced coma.
It was great to have
so many come out to rock in 2007 with us despite the fact
that the Packer game ("Brett's Last Game") was moved into a
competing time slot. Thanks to all that
attended and we'll see you in Madison on January 12th!"
